1. Right-click the Microsoft® Windows® Start button and select Explore.
2. Locate the Quicken installation folder. The default location is C:Documents and SettingsAll UsersApplication DataIntuitQuicken.
3. Right-click the Quicken folder and select Properties.
4. Clear the Read-only checkbox and click OK.
5. In the confirmation dialog, select the Apply changes to this folder, subfolders and files option, and then click OK.
6. In the Quicken folder, right-click the Log folder and select Delete.
7. Try installing Quicken again.
