Quicken Error 1305 – Error reading from file

The following error occurs when installing Quicken:

Error 1305. Error reading from file [drive letter]:Program FilesQuicken[file name]. Verify that the file exists and that you can access it.


1. On your hard drive, find the file that is referenced in the error message.
2. Right-click the file in the Search Results and select Properties.
3. On the General tab, under Attributes, clear the Read-only checkbox
.
4. Click OK.
