Quicken Error Occurs When Updating Discover Card Accounts

1. Open the Discover account register in Quicken
From your account register:

a. In Quicken 2013 and newer: Select the Actions gear icon at the very top of your register (Ctrl + Shift + N)
b. In Quicken 2012 and older: click on Account Actions

3. Then select Update Now.
4. Complete the steps to update your security questions/answers.

Quicken Installation Gives 1618 Error Code

Take a look at the Microsoft Windows Taskbar (this is the bar generally located at the bottom of your screen that holds your Windows Start button and the clock) and cancel any additional occurrences of the Quicken installation process that are running (also check for any other programs that are being installed). Attempt to run the Quicken installation process again.

Quicken Error 1001 (Connection Error)

Open Quicken Essentials Mac (QEM);
Go to the Accounts menu and choose “Hide and Show Accounts”;
Uncheck any accounts with this specific financial institution (FI) that are hidden in List;
When complete, click the Settings button on each account with this FI to uncheck the box for “I want to download…”;
When finished with all accounts in your file that connect to this FI, Quit QEM;
Open Finder and go to Applications > Utilities > Keychain Access app;
Looking in Keychain = Login and Category = Password, find and Trash any entries that show Quicken Essentials or Quicken Connect and this FI name;
Quit the Keychain Access app and open QEM;
Select your primary account with this FI to re-check the box for “I want to download…” in Settings and click the “Assist Me” button;
At the bottom of the window that lists the financial institutions, click the “My bank is not listed” question mark icon;
When the list finishes Updating, it should display the current date. Click the Show List button to continue;
Type the name of this financial institution and make the appropriate selection, then enter your login credentials and click Continue;
When QEM has returned all accounts discovered for this FI, very carefully LINK each of the found accounts to the appropriate account you already have setup in Quicken.

Quicken Gives Downloading Transactions Error After Upgrade

1. Refresh Branding & Profile for each financial institution in the file.
2. Deactivate accounts that are no longer available at the financial institution(s).
3. Reactivate accounts that are still available at the financial institution(s) but no longer appear in the One Step Update Settings window

If following the instructions for resolving Connectivity, Refresh Branding & Profile, or Deactivate/Reactivate fails to resolve the issue you’re encountering:

1. Uninstall, then Reinstall Quicken.
2. Use QCleanUI to Clean All Versions when a simple Uninstall/Reinstall fails to resolve the problem.
