Quicken Printing Error 7xxx Quicken has encountered a problem and needs to close

Verify your printer settings

  1. In Quicken, select the File menu and select Printer Setup > For checks, reports or Invoices. If the printer setup window does not open, information to resolve this issue is available on our support site.
  2. Verify that the correct printer is selected.
  3. Make any necessary changes and click OK.
  4. Attempt to print. If you cannot print, proceed to the next step.
  5. Click the Microsoft® Windows® Start button and select Settings > Printers and Faxes.

  7. In the Properties window for your printer, look for a setting to print directly to printer or spool documents. The exact location of this setting varies by printer model and manufacturer.
  8. Select the option that is not currently selected. For example, if your printer is currently set to “Spool documents,” selectPrint directly to printer.
  9. Click OK or Save to save your changes.
  10. Attempt to print again.

Uninstall Quicken

This error can also be the result of a conflict between Quicken and a printer driver installed on the computer.

  2. Right-click the first Canon printer in the list and select Delete. Click Yes to the confirmation dialog. Note: Make a note of which printer drivers are removed so you can install them again later.
  3. Repeat step 2 until all Canon printers have been removed.
    Note: If you are using a USB printer, unplug the printer before restarting.  This will prevent the printer from automatically installing when you restart.
  4. Restart the computer.

Cannot or Unable To Print From Quicken(Printing Issues in Quicken)

Before trying to resolve your issue:

  1. Verify that your printer will print from other programs.
    1. Can you print from Notepad (to confirm report printing ability)?
    2. Can you print from Paint (to confirm check printing ability)?
    3. Microsoft Office applications use their own drivers and is not a good test for Quicken or system printing
  2. If you are using a network printer, connect the printer locally. Connecting the printer locally eliminates any network issues that may be present.

If you are using Quicken 2011 or newer, follow these five steps below. If you are using a version of Quicken prior to 2011 proceed to the next set of instructions.

  1. Update to the latest release.
  2. Choose File menu > File Operations > Validate and Repair.
  3. Check the options to Validate File and Reset all Quicken printer settings.
  4. Click OK.
  5. See if you can print.

Quicken Help On How do I convert from Quicken for Mac?

  1. Create a copy of your current Quicken for Mac data file. You’ll use this copy for the conversion.
  2. Launch the Quicken File Exchange Utility (it’s also on your Quicken Essentials disk).
  3. Follow the on-screen instructions to locate the copy of your old data file and then convert it.  When complete, you’ll have a new data file — but it’s not quite done.  We still need to import it.
  4. Open Quicken Essentials.  You can import your old data into a new data file or one that you’ve already started using.

Wells Fargo Advisors Unavailable in Quicken Mac 2015

Wells Fargo has advised Intuit that they will be prepared to support this version of Quicken in June 2015.
